In 1983, we took the annual family vacation/boat trip to Lake Mead. There was a state of the art VHS camera on that trip, and my mother recently had Costco convert the VHS to DVD. Here’s the first 2 chapters of that trip, as we watched the water go over the over flow spill gates at Hoover Dam. This is actually my earliest memory, and while the video doesn’t show me close to the edge(rather just on the stairs), I can remember the fog and mist rising from the dam, and a tremendous (for a 4 year old) roar.
