Scotland to ban swords to beat violent crime
Wow…. just do a word copy and replace on either “knife” or “sword” with “gun”, and you have an article out of the US.
I wonder, if in 10 years, when half the murders are committed with blunt objects, if tree limbs, cricket (baseball) bats and the like will be banned.
Also, Scotland should turn this around…. if they have such an issue with swords and sword violence (not so far a stretch to imagine sword fights in the streets the way the article sounds), shouldn’t this be a tourist selling point? Why bother to get robbed on the train at Knott’s Berrys Farm, when you can see an actual sword fight! Sure, it’s not for everyone, but it might bring a few more dollars into town.
