Went down to Newport to prepare for this BBQ on Saturday. Cleaned out pipes, pulled some weeds. Will have to do more next weekend. All good fun has more preperation than fun involved. Course, as I told a friend today, even though we can chase the fun, the fun only comes from the trouble involved. So I trouble myself with preparations.
Went sailing on Sunday. Good wind, good company. Got a bit sunburned, but mostly just red. That, or I no longer feel the burn, which is good, in a very disturbing way too.
Still in the new department. Seems to be working out ok so far. Mostly, my trouble with it is my lack of eagarness. A feeling of disappointment, to be moved from acting supervisor of *my* department, to now just a supervisor of the new department. I thought I was told months ago something else, but up until today I thought that had been wrong. Now today, I may just be at parity level with my peer/ manager / management trainee. Doesn’t matter yet though. I need to know the equipment inside and out, then I should worry about my position and where I fit in.
A bit cryptic? I suppose. I don’t know who from work may or may not read this, though based on log files, not many people read this at all. Still, I may post more latter.
