A Dodger Sunset

Saturday, September 22nd, 2007

Well, the Dodgers just keep imploding. Earlier in the week, Jeff Kent refused to point fingers, but found that many things had gone wrong. The next day, rookie James Loney asked “Who said he was a leader?” Well, with less than 10 games left in the season, it doesn’t matter so much.

But at least the [...]

Dodgers vs Padres

Wednesday, September 12th, 2007

I’m off to the Dodger game tonight. While the Dodgers are practically eliminated for the season, if not technically, it’s still a game I have tickets for. So why not use them, and hope the Dodgers don’t get trounced like they did last night, 9 to 4.

Giant game!

Wednesday, August 1st, 2007

I’m off to the Dodger game tonight, and tomorrow night also! Barry might hit his record tying or breaking home runs…. I have my camera just in case. He’s done so many other memorable home runs against the Dodgers, how can this one not come against them either?  At the very least, it keeps team rivalries interesting.

Friday the 13th? Lucky day for the Dodgers

Sunday, July 15th, 2007

The Dodgers just finished a 3 game sweep of the Giants at AT&T Ballpark, or as Naeem likes to call it, the Phone Booth. That makes 11 straight victories for the Dodgers in San Francisco. Must be irritating as call can be to Giant’s fans, to watch Bonds go hitless the entire series, and only [...]

Dodgers lost to the Giants

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

I was at the Dodger/Giants game last night. Barry Bonds hit a home run in the top of the first, to put the Giants ahead 4 to 0

Later on that night, he struck out

All in all, it was not a great game. The Dodgers scored 4, but did not seem like they were in it [...]

Baseball Season is in swing!

Monday, April 16th, 2007

Baseball season started a few weeks ago. The Dodgers are off to a good start, leading the National League West. I went to opening day at Dodger stadium, a full week ago, and here are some pictures! The Dodgers lost that game, but you can’t win them all in baseball.

Some of the local fowl like [...]

Cardinals win the World Series

Friday, October 27th, 2006

It’s an improbable win for the Cardinals, winning the World Series in 5 games. After falling apart so amazingly to end the season, they came back and won. They ended the regular season with 83 wins, and have become the team to win the World Series with the fewest regular season wins. I’m pretty surprised [...]

It just needs to be said tonight….

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

That the umpires in San Diego, for the Dodger/Padres’s game, need to be reprimanded for several really bad calls.
I’m up early tomorrow to take my dad to the airport, and then it’s off to work in the morning! yippie!

Dodgers and Padres

Monday, August 21st, 2006

Well, after winning 2 out of 3 from San Francisco over the weekend, the Dodgers dropped the first of three games to the Padres tonight, 4 to 2. They had a two to nothing lead, and then blew it.
At least it was up on TV tonight, so I could listen to Vin Scully, instead of [...]

Two losses in a row

Friday, August 18th, 2006

The Dodgers have now dropped 2 in a row. The sky is falling, they are only in first place by two games! They won 15 out of 16, and now it’s going to pot..
But for the past 30 days, they are only a .500 ball team. Not the way to win a division, though right [...]
