Check out the advanced tabs over to the upper right. Right now, it’s saying it’s certainly better for me to rent, that I’d never come out ahead! Even figuring 8% annual appreciation (more in line with long term CA benifits), at the housing prices advertised in South Gate now, I’m better renting and investing my money in the stock market long term, when you consider property taxes and other items.If the market drops another 100,000, the situation changes, but for now, it’s still better to rent.
