I was at the Dodger/Giants game last night. Barry Bonds hit a home run in the top of the first, to put the Giants ahead 4 to 0
Later on that night, he struck out
All in all, it was not a great game. The Dodgers scored 4, but did not seem like they were in it at all. The past week or so, they’ve been falling behind early, and sometimes recovering, and sometimes not.
It could just be me. All 3 games I have been to this year, the Dodgers have fallen behind at some point. They lost on opening day, were losing 3 to 4 until Wilson Valdez tied the game in the 9th, winning in the 10th. Then the game last night, with a 6 to 4 loss.
The Dodgers started off with the best record in baseball, but have fiddled it away with a 3 game losing streak, and are about to fall out of first place in the National League West. Several guys are hitting above 300, but the thirdbaseman’s spot is just a black hole in the lineup. Wilson Betimet can’t hit, Ramon Martinez isn’t getting enough playing time to hit, and Wilson Valedez, who is hitting, won’t get enough playing time.
That, and the outfield likes to drop fly balls.
Going tonight!
Lucky, keep that bobblehead safe!
Two words: Boo. Yah.
Then they had to go and lose last night, to end up being swept by the Giants in Dodger Stadium for the first time in 5 years. At least the Dodgers swept them in San Francisco to start the season off.
Hey, how about them Washington Nationals?
