For the past few weeks, my Core 2 Duo Macbook, (October revision), has been turning off on it’s own. At a time of it’s choosing, with no warning. Very inconsiderate.
I’m in the Apple store right now, waiting to see someone. They will probably keep my laptop for a week or so. The very small amount of info I can find on this is that it is a power management unit issue. I did the online help thing ( unplug the battery and the power cord, and hold down the power button for 5 seconds). That made the problem better, but it kept coming back.
So here I am at the Apple store in Fashion Island, and waiting for my time to be called.
