Santa Ana’s Vending Machines May Go on a Diet – Los Angeles Times
I’m wondering….. if very small amounts of the healthy vending machine food sell, in relation to the traditional, “you take 1 year off your life for each bite” vending machine snacks, will they allow the healthy stuff to sit on the shelf and go bad eventually? Will they decide to change back to all non healthy foods? Or go the other route, and offer nothing that is unhealthy?
It’s all a nice idea, but this is treating the symptoms, and not the actual causes. My proposed treatment to some of these symptoms, mandatory exercise bike riding for all office workers, won’t go over well. If we hook those bikes up to a generator, think of the energy producing possibilities, in addition to a trim and fit work force!
If we go that route though, I’m going to rig up a small motor powered off the wall electricity to make it look like I’m biking while working.
