New Moderator!

Wednesday, June 14th, 2006

While I’m gone on vacation, Naeem has been good enough to take over moderation duties. While I’m planning, but haven’t yet done, a blog posting for each day I’m gone, I’m not expecting many comments.
Spam has been minimal to nill since I installed that math question during the commenting period.
Still, treat Naeem right, and place [...]

web stat counting….

Wednesday, June 14th, 2006

So I discovered one of my legacy web statistics counters started adding in pop up ads. So I’m removing Nedstat, turned into webstat4u from my site. They were only on my static web pages, and I probably won’t finish until I return from the Grand Canyon.
Still, an annoying thing to look at.

Wednesday, June 7th, 2006

We need more judges with a sense of humor and simplicity.
I’ll even forgive him being appointed by Clinton, for a great non wasting of tax payer dollars with this ruling.

Grand Canyon Trip notes

Tuesday, June 6th, 2006

Well, I’ve got one open spot on the Grand Canyon raft trip. I’m trying to get ahold of Jason to see if he can go, then his dad Larry (my old Scoutmaster…), then Bob, then I’ll hit up one of the Henritzie brothers.
All would like to go I know, it’s a question of timing and [...]

Dodger game last night

Tuesday, June 6th, 2006

Naeem scored free tickets to the Dodger game last night, against the Mets. We were seated in the reserve level, Row 10, Aisle D. Not bad, in pretty close to home plate, but not right behind the plate.
Dodgers blew it though. 3 runs given up in the first inning, and another one later, answered only [...]

June Gloom– Woohoo!

Monday, June 5th, 2006

June Gloom is back. I had missed it. Despite the dreary sounding name, it provides a much desired break from the hot sun light. Most years, I hope for it to be short, then allowing us to go straight into summer. The past few years, it’s been starting early, and carrying over late, into July.
This [...]
