Well, Gary and I got up there about 3:30 on Friday morning. Woke up at 5, went for a walk to find everyone at 5:20. They're not at the launching ramp.

Turns out, they had to go back 1/2 mile to a campsite.

In walking around, I almost walked right on top of a 4 foot long Mohave Green Rattlesnake. He was shocked, I was shocked. He drew back, threatening to strike. I jumped way back up hill, trying to get out of his way. He the moved on, and so did I. But... it shocked me for a bit.

Got everything loaded up, got on the way back. My truck is having problems with overheating on the gauge, however, water spilled on the radiator didn't sizzle. I think it's a bad gauge or sending unit. I hope.

Also blew another tire on a trailer.

We got back in around 12:30 this morning.

I think I'm going to leave this evening for Mammoth, and try to get out of the heat.
