My good buddy Andy, from Cal Poly, took some time off to go north on the train, and visit the sights. I’m very impressed by those waterfalls….
I got my jury duty delayed till after the raft trip! woo-hoo!
Looks like my mom’s sister and one of her daughters will be coming on the raft trip… That’ll be a much different vacation than their summer in Rome last year.
The state of Oregon’s only nuclear power plant was demolished today, the final major act in a decade long decommissioning project. Some soul was kind enough to post his video of it online. Nothing too exciting, but still worth watching once I think.

Navy Ex-Aircraft Carrier Sunk, %u2018Reefed%u2019 off Pensacola
The US Navy sunk a decommissioned aircraft carrier today, the USS Oriskany, off the Florida coast to create an artificial reef. The ship will be opened to the general public who are scuba divers in two days.
