website thingies
I just installed the 2.0.2 update to Wordpress, and I’ve installed “Did you pass math?” which is supposed to help block spam.
Basically, it’s supposed to ask a simple math question, on the assumption that spam bots will fail the test.

Just be glad I didn’t put a trig problem, or a calc problem… at least these all entail real numbers.
How about y= Integral (x^2+3x)dx from X=4 to x=6
Give me the number answer to that in your next comment….

242/3.
Have you heard of anyone updating this plugin to include other operations (subtraction and multiplication, for instance… not necessarily integration)?

Dave,
No I haven’t. I’ve only had one known instance of spam getting past this, and it was a pretty obvious to the eye instance. What I think it was, though I haven’t confirmed it, was the question being “0+0 =”, and if the form was left blank, the plugin assumed 0. That’s a guess on my part, not fact, but I’m pretty happy with the plugin as is.
