Mom’s surprise birthday party

Last Sunday, the 23rd of April, we had a surprise birthday party for my mom. She was really surprised. My dad brought her down to the boat, saying he just wanted to look at a few things. They had been on vacation up at Mammoth all week long, so they were both pretty tired. We had about 40 people on the boat, and all sang happy birthday as my mom came aboard. A toss of a line later, and we were cruising around Los Angeles Harbor.

It was a crystal clear afternoon. We could easily see the Isthmus of Catalina from LA Harbor. Click for more photos, or continuing below for more commentary.

We saw the Queen Mary at Sunset

We say the bridge from the Queen Mary to downtown Long Beach

My dad was standing there, when he shot this photo of the Say When and Queen Mary
