What happens when you make plans

…. Things change.

I was going to be going out this evening on the late crew, taking camping gear and scouts to camp. I get a call at 3:37 from Gary, asking where the early crew was. Chris and Adnon were running late. I rush over there to cover, and Chris and Adnon were there. Ok, but right as they leave, some of the late crew show up. An hour early. Crud. I don’t have time to go back to my place, and get my gear. All but one of the late crew show up an hour early… and one shows up just after the designated time. Ok, so I’ll go out, drop them off, come back and get my gear and go out tomorrow night.

Then…. I get a call from the boat. The main anchor was stuck on a rock out at Catalina, and they were unable to free it. They cut the anchor line, and left it tied off with a bouy to mark the spot. This has happened before, but it’s annoying. A diver will probably have to go down, and free the anchor, and the boat can pull it back up.

I’ve lined up a friend (thanks Dave!) to go out with me on Sunday to dive down for the anchor. The skipper has got someone for tomorrow too. So if he doesn’t have it taken care of tomorrow around noonish or 1, Dave and I will take care of it on Sunday. Heh…. At least it’s not raining yet.
