Ok, I’m [____________] this close to being pissed off.
So’s the other person. So we ended our conversation when we could, and will come back to it.
I understand his current position, in his shoes I’d feel similar.
But.
We had agreed upon a course of action (and so I thought I heard), that at a certain time I could run some material. I have all my stuff together, I’m set, I’m ready to rock. We run, we get 95% done. Enough to be more than usable.
Then I get told I’m violating what we agreed upon. My understand was that I could run on their break period. I show up, they are working split shift through break. Ok, they’re short on material, I get it. But the time was agreed upon, and I don’t get another time period until Monday. I’m not calling my VP, though I will if I have to.
I’m done with most of it, so I am probably ok.
But now I get told that the agreement was “discuss this during break”. Bullfeathers. Break period is when I run samples. If we are going to discuss it then, I will have no time in the day to run what I need done by 3pm.
This is going to bite me I know. It’s also going to bite the guy I’m talking about, but not as bad.
Problem is, we are both in the right here, and anyone who can mediate a decision between us is in Vegas for a show.
Time to look forward, get this stuff done, and get out of here in a few hours.
