Map placing game

Via Cal Tech Girl

For the United States, with each state clearing after I place it(except for Vermont for some strange reason) I got 71%, with an average error of 32 miles in a time of 842 seconds

I also got 89% on level 4 of the European game in 206 seconds

On the level 7 of the European game, I got 75% in 216 seconds. Would of been much higher, except for my horrible spelling. It’s Czech not Cezch…. bah to crazy slavic names

It’s a shame I can’t read her blog at work, or I would of given this a try while I was fresh in the day….. What really killed me was the baltic republics. I got two out of the three wrong… I’m shamed. For a kid who went to the 7th grade National Geographic competition in Sacramento, who used to read atlases for fun while going to bed (they’re easy night time reading, seriously…. but not light reading!), this hurts. I think I need to pull out road maps again.

I wonder if there is a version of these games that has you place major US highways….

There are 50 states. How do you get a 71%?

Try the game and find out…..

Just cause they’re good at geography, doesn’t mean they are good at math.

74%, 37 miles average off, 303 seconds. The midwestern states killed me (Iowa was several hundred miles off…). I didn’t even try Europe because I would have sucked it up…
