It’s too small a world

At least when it comes to companies I’ve worked for, and locations in North Carolina

Carpenter has a few plants in North Carolina. While I was making my decision to leave there, they wanted to send me to the one in Conover for 2 weeks for training. Turns out, Conover is just 10 miles from where I will be at the Maiden facility in North Carolina. My hotel in Hickory is a few blocks (apparently) from another Carpenter plant, that I didn’t know existed.

I am at a loss of words for description. I don’t believe in coincidence. Is this irony? The universe’s wacky sense of humor?

Or am I just putting too much thought into this?

Any which way it can be described, I am highly amused.

As I recall, North Carolina is the home to pretty much every furniture and fixture plant in the U.S. (lots of wood there?). Though the industry is moving out (for money reasons as usual) as I understand it.
