Apple - iPod Photo
I admit it. i want this. I’d want it even more if it could play video out to the TV, instead of just still pictures. I think that is coming, they just want the MPAA to sign off on it first.
What I want to do, is to play movies from the iPod to the TV. Whether DVD’s I bought and ripped (like we do with music now) or movies I made myself, with my own camera and software (Apple you make iMovie! use it for more than DVDs!)
I agree with Steve Jobs on one thing though: “No one has any video content to put on them, and even if they did, the screens are much too small,” Jobs said, adding that the iPod is the “wrong place” for video.”
I don’t want to watch my videos on the iPod itself. For that matter, I don’t want to see my pictures on it’s 2 inch screen either. But I do want to watch them on my TV, to show off to everyone. It’ll be cheaper in the long run to carry a 600 dollar iPod or vPod around than to burn and ship DVD’s of my great 2 minutes of fame.
