DeWITT, Doug Runing, born on September 14, 1983 passed away very unexpectedly September 24 in San Diego. Currently a junior at San Diego State University, he was a 2002 graduate of Warren High School in Downey. A member of Balboa Island Yacht Club for 11 years, he served as Commodore in 2000 and will be missed by all the lives he touched. He is survived by his parents, Bill and Mary DeWitt; his brothers, Bill and Ed DeWitt; his grandmother, Evalyn Runi ng and many loving friends and family. Services will be Thursday, September 30 at 3:00 pm at Rose Hills, Whittier, In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Downey YMCA Easter Caravan, 11531 Downey Avenue, Downey, 90241.
