Tacky Dresser

To start off the tacky apartment series, name kindly donated by Sarah, I shall start off by posting pictures of how the place currently looks. As soon as an area is clean enough to be presentable that is. The goal here is not to show you just a table and chairs, but to show some individuality in it, and to have you, my rare audience, comment and make suggestions. So to start this off, I give you my dresser:
Dresser

One the left is a photograph of my days as a sailing instructor, of John, Sierra, Phil, Ed and myself. Then there is the Don Drysdale Bobblehead, a picture of the entire 2000 BIYC club, from the year I calculated the Monroe points. Then we have my Eagle Scout Award, an aluminum Cal Poly Bronco I cast, my 1995 Monroe Medal( 5th place, the highest I ever got!). Next, we have a keepsake box with 4 pictures on top. Top left is my dad, brother Doug and myself at Phantom Ranch many years ago, then top right is myself, parents and cousin Kathryn (I think at Elizabeth’s year as Commodore Banquet), bottom left a pic of me, Naeem, and Alicia up at Mammoth on a snowmobile, and last a picture of me from high school, paddling a milk carton boat. Inside the keepsake box are letters, cards and such that aren’t going public.

Last on the right is a small snowman given to me by Stella a few years ago at Christmas time.

Nice looking dresser, very traditional and solid. Also much less cluttered than my furniture. I like the bobblehead.

Well, I cleaned it up for the photo. The best possible appearance. But it’s still that way right now, except my cell phone and wallet are on top too. It’s a good dresser, I bought it from The Mill, a set of stores in the LA area dealing with mid to high end wood furniture. No particle board that I know off, all solid lumber and plywood. I’m quite happy with their products, even though I only own the dresser.

oh, and Ben, i don’t have your phone number…. shoot it to me in a private email if you don’t mind
