I would of made this a given, but it’s nice to have some documentation. And I admit to being affected by it from time to time, even if I don’t show it externally.
In part though, it helps show why there are no cheerleaders in baseball. Some mascots yes, but no pretty women doing cheers and jumping up and down. Course, it’d be distracting to a visually slow game. And then they’d be forgotten in the few minutes of triumph that never last long enough. Like the crowd chanting MVP every time Adrian Beltre steps to the plate. And then him proving why he deserves it: Homeruns to take the lead.
