One week left

One week left at Carpenter. I should be more over joyed, but I’m just feeling worn out. Good thing I’ll be taking a few days off.

Trip to Catalina last weekend was good, didn’t get sun burned, but came very close. So I’m going to go again this next Saturday. Who’s in?

This Saturday I’m going to Catalina or Santa Barbara Island (I haven’t decided yet which) and I want and need some more people to come along.
The game plan: Leave Long Beach Harbor by 7am. This means being at the launch ramp at about 6am. From there, we go to either island, do some water skiing, skin diving (or scuba if you bring your own gear), some island hiking or just fun in the sun.
How: My boat, a 20 foot Wellcraft.
Times: Leave South Gate at 5:30am, or meet in Long Beach at 6am or so. We have to be on the water by 7, or else it will be a bit uncomfortable and damp on the way over. We’d get back to Long Beach by 5pm, and everything cleaned up by 7pm.

What to bring: Wear a swimsuit, bring suntan loation, dry clothes that can get wet (no cotton!). Cameras are good, as are applicable activity equipment. I’ll be bringing an ice chest and my camping stove, so we can cook up something relatively clean on the boat. But it’s not Giligan’s Island, and none of us are the Howell’s. Light and simple is the key words, to make enough space for everyone.

Who: Well, there is available space for 6 total people, including myself. Right now, only Spencer is in. So go ahead and let me know if you want in Go ahead and post here if you are in or out, and what you want to do while there. I know most of you I send this to are a no for a variety of reasons, but it will be a fun trip regardless.

So: Are you in or out?
