New Furniture

So I bought some new furniture today. A nice 10 drawer dresser and mirror. Mission style oak, like my bed. It matches the bed very well, but it does clash with my teak bookcase. Fortunately, the bookcase is covered in books, doing it’s job, so it’s not as noticeable. I may post a pic of it someday, but not yet. I moved everything out of the three drawer dresser I have into 5 drawers of this, so I’m not over flowing at the edges anymore. It’s much better.

And it smells good too. A nice cedar smell from the drawers. Very pleasing

I didn’t watch or listen to the Dodger game today, and I found out afterwards they won 10 to 5 against Anaheim at home. 6 game losing streak, then come back to win by 5 runs. My only consolation is that if I had watched, they would of lost again. Guess my curse is back.

I need to remember in the next few days to act in a perpendicular fashion to what I want. Only way I’m going to succeed.

Bill, Please tell us what you mean by acting perpendicular, are you going to get drunk
    and start eating vegetables?

  2. Bill Says:

Moving perpendicular, I mean in regards to what I want. Imagine where you are, and where what you want is. Now, each time you move directly towards your goal, something happens to cause you to be farther away than when you begin. Now, move in a direction angled towards, but not close, to your goal. WHen you reach your tangent point(when you are closest to the goal), stop, and readjust your direction.

This comes from my belief in a part of the universe (not necessarily God, though does not have to be independent of that either) is out to prevent me from what I want. “Coincidence? I don’t think so” is a good phrase for me. It’s all a conspiracy. Or at least, laws of the natural universe come together in a certain fashion to affect me.

Just my way of coping with some of life’s difficulties.

Whoever you are El Guapo, does this answer it?

My money is that El Guapo = Alvaro.

  4. El Guapo Says:

Yeah that covers it, but could you give us a practical example, i.e. a scenario
that would accurately depict this strategy?

I wonder if there is a “plethora” of El Guapos on the web. <—Ultra-cool “Three Amigos” reference there. Great screen name!

  6. Naeem Chaudhry Says:

El Guapo is a city in Mexico
