Things are as ready as I think I can make them today. Speakers installed, food in the fridge. I’ll show up early, and just double check everything. Just gotta pull the ice out of the freezer, and we’re off!
Was woken up late last night by my roommate returning. He had been gone 20 days in the lovely Pacific Ocean and Asia on assignment. I was expecting him early today, but nope, I woke up when he got back in.
Bought 5 new tires for the truck today. Went from 245/75R16 to 265/75R16. Should give me better flotation on soft surfaces like mud or sand. But I’ll say this, damn was that expensive! Most money I have spent on one thing in a long time. At least they should last me 50,000 miles or so.

Just got back in. Spent today cleaning and preparing the house at Newport for the summer, and incidentally, this party next Sunday. Looks in very good shape now. Only thing is, now that I’ve fixed (I think) various pipes, I smell like sewer gas. A quick shower will fix that though!
