Dodger Blues, Breakfast, Computers
Well, the Dodgers lost 5 to 3 last night, but came back today to beat the Giants 9-zip. I only saw the last three innings, so my curse did not work on them.
My curse, you ask? My curse is that whenever I go to a Dodger game, or watch it on TV, they lose. When I come in late, or don’t watch at all, they win. One hell of a curse for a true fan. Guess the Dodgers are lucky i didn’t buy those season tickets I wanted.
Pancake breakfast went well. Low turn out though, probably only 150 people. I think the Troop made money, but not too much. A good year is 300 and an excellent year is 400 people. At only three bucks a pop, that’s not much money at all. Well, we made enough to cover expenses so that is well.
Finally repaired my grandmother’s hard drive. Weird. I didn’t have to reformat it at all. I was expecting to have to do that. I backed up the important software anyway, but it seems to be running fine now. I need to head over there in a bit.
I’m back into looking at getting bulletin board software running on this site. I really want to have user feedback, and I want it on this site, not anywhere else. I’ll see what I can get done in the next few weeks.
I’m looking at Saturday May 22nd or Sunday May 23rd to do a bbq and sailing fun down in Newport. Any responses? I will post a reply board on my slashdot journal soon, or just email me. I want to see you there!
