First days of work
Well, my first two days are going well. Very well, but I need to be a bit more aggressive in my questioning and learning of various activities. But I’ll fit in well I think.
The drive isn’t as bad as I thought it’d be, about 50 miles each way, but I hold about 65 mph going out, and 40 coming back, so that’s not too bad at all. On the plus side, this is the best milage my car has ever gotten. A bit over 22 mpg, so I can be happy with that. I was expecting 2.5 tanks of gas per week, I think I can get away with 1.5 now. Very good stuff.
On a sadder note, my mom’s dad passed away this morning in his sleep. Not unexpected, he had been in declining health the past few years. This was what I had alluded to in earlier posts. Funeral is on Wednesday in Orange. After all the recent drama, I’m just happy that he’s finally at rest, and the healing can get on for the family. And now to see how my grandmother handles the next few weeks and months
